Kroger has made significant progress in reducing GHG emissions by implementing various strategies. The company has installed solar arrays at 15 facilities, generating over 10,500 MWh of renewable power in 2022, with 6,000 MWh claimed as zero-carbon energy. Kroger has also installed EV chargers at its stores, providing over 8,700 MWh of electricity through more than 886,000 charging sessions. In 2022, Kroger replaced about 200 trucks with more fuel-efficient models and continued to transition to lower-GWP refrigerants.
