WestRock has achieved a 29.8% absolute reduction in GHG emissions since its creation in 2015. The company is in the process of calculating its Scope 3 emission inventory to align with the GHG Protocol Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Accounting and Reporting Standard. WestRock has engaged Ernst & Young LLP to provide limited assurance over its Scope 1 and Scope 2 MBM metrics for fiscal 2023 and its recalculated fiscal 2019 baseline emissions. For the first time in fiscal 2023, the limited assurance also included Scope 3 emissions. The company continues to aim to reduce the impact of its operations on the environment and is enhancing the way it reports emissions data.
