In 2023, Geberit achieved a 19.6% reduction in CO2 emissions for Scopes 1 and 2, amounting to 121,014 tonnes. Since acquiring the ceramics business in 2015, CO2 intensity has decreased by 63.2%. The company has increased its purchase of green electricity, which now accounts for 78.9% of its electricity use. Geberit has also improved its eco-efficiency and CO2 intensity significantly, surpassing its long-term target of a 5% annual reduction. The company continues to refine its CO2 emissions calculations for Scope 3 and is evaluating technologies for carbon-neutral ceramic production.
