As of December 31, 2022, Diamondback Energy has made progress towards its sustainability goals, including reducing Scope 1 GHG intensity by 20% from its 2019 baseline, on its way towards a target of a 50% reduction by 2024. The company retired approximately 1.5 million voluntary carbon credits in 2023 as part of its Net Zero Now commitment to offset 2022 Scope 1 GHG emissions. Diamondback has also implemented Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) on its facilities, covering approximately 85% of operated oil production by the end of 2022, with a goal to cover at least 90% by the end of 2023.
